My name is Sascia and this place is my home, but also a refuge that I have chosen to share with those who love to travel and discover authentic corners.
Within the ancient walls of a medieval tower I created a small world where the charm of the past meets the sweetness of hospitality.
It's a place where history can be breathed, where time slows down and where you can feel at home even away from home.
In the silent heart of the mediaeval village of Certaldo Alto stands Antica Torre del Borgo, a place that smells of history and tranquillity.
From here a world of glimpses opens up: San Gimignano , Volterra, Monteriggioni, Florence, Siena, Pisa ... pearls of Tuscany reachable in few kilometres, some also conveniently by train.

each of the four rooms is different, as different are the shades of the light that enters through the windows. They are welcoming, bright environments, inspired by the colours and scents of the Tuscan countryside that opens up just outside: hills that sway up to the Apennines, ancient roofs, towers that are dyed red at sunset.
The furnishings tell stories: wrought iron beds that I restored with my own hands, small objects of recovery that preserve the memory of the time.
Each room has wi-fi, air conditioning and heating, mini fridge, private bathroom with all the comforts: hairdryer, shampoo dispenser and shower, conditioner and a make-up remover kit with micellar water and cotton discs - to pamper you even in small daily gestures.

Very good and abundant breakfast, despite not having the barley cappuccino they satisfied me by letting me find it in the morning, and it was really very good. Very cozy and clean room, wonderful view both on the village and on the surrounding hills.
I liked everything about the structure, the location, the attention to detail, the general comfort and above all the infinite capacity of hospitality and precision of Sascia, the one who manages the B&B.
The location is splendid, the room well-kept, clean and welcoming.The icing on the cake is Sascia, the owner, who is attentive and very kind. It also takes care of all logistical aspects (parking, access to the ZTL) making everything simple and convenient.

f you reach Antica Torre del Borgo by car, please let me know the model and license plate to authorise access to the restricted traffic area. This way you can comfortably unload your luggage in front of the bed and breakfast, the same for the day of departure.
